The Mark & Paula Hurd Welcome Center welcomes current and future students, parents, and alumni to Baylor University’s vibrant campus community with engaging and personalized technology. Upon entry into a soaring atrium, visitors each receive a custom badge and proceed to a series of unique, immersive experiences located within 70-foot-tall lighted columns. These photo-opp-worthy experiences are designed to be shared with friends and family.

Reflect – An infinity room features a driving soundtrack and a dynamic video-based kaleidoscope of iconic campus locations.

Connect – A 360 degree theater drops visitors straight into the action with the Baylor Bears on the field and court, in the stands, and on the stage.

Aspire – What do you aspire to? Students scan their badge to see their name and aspiration spiral up an LED ribbon and seemingly out to the campus..

Amplify – An overhead LED hemisphere features a video and motion graphics treatment of the global impact of a Baylor education.

Careful prototyping with our partners ensured that the appropriate display surfaces and audio speaker systems were used to deliver the right visitor experience, whether the desired effect was contemplative or exhilarating.
