To maximize engagement, we developed a variety of media programs in both the lobby and exhibition spaces. An enlightening interactive timeline addresses America’s struggle for civil rights, a role-playing activity allows visitors to hold their own presidential press conference, an interactive in the Jacqueline Kennedy gallery explores her public role as First Lady, and digital signage programs in the lobby feature upcoming events and distinguished visitors. Each of these pieces make new use of archival documents, photographs, and other materials to share history with audiences in new ways.
Another important component of this project was an effort to remaster original film footage for use on large-scale, high-resolution displays. Working closely with the Library’s archival team and Deluxe Entertainment, we were able to update and exhibit versions of President Kennedy’s most memorable speeches and his 1963 trip to Berlin and Ireland.
