Stories from the Ford Estate
RLMG designed a 10 by 4 foot dimensional model of the estate that acts as a stage on which family memories come alive. Watch snowy outings on the frozen pond, party guests arriving in period cars, and evening family activities seen through glowing windows, and more. These magical scenes are made from an artful blend of original animation and family footage projection-mapped to the home’s architecture.
The Interactives
At an interactive family scrapbook, visitors can explore the Fords’ vast collection of family photographs and memorabilia by pulling images out from an elegantly designed memory stream and into a personalized workstation.
Visitors are invited to design a garden, house, or interior room themselves at a touchtable interactive. By choosing from an eclectic selection of imagery, visitors create a moodboard, then “send it to a designer”, and see their vision turned into an original drawing. Visitors can email home both the moodboard and the final design drawing.
Finally, RLMG produced a large-scale dynamic video that showcases the features of three early automobiles designed by Edsel Ford that elevate those cars to works of art.

RLMG exceeded our expectations and helped set the highest bar possible. Our exhibitions are meaningful, impactful, relevant, and fun, and the components they designed and installed are favorites of our visitors.
