Moonshot Museum

Experience The Future of Space Exploration

The Moonshot Museum believes that the moon—and the growing space industry—is for everyone. Located on the campus of Astrobotic, a space robotics company on Pittsburgh’s North Side, the museum aims to inspire everyone to find their place in the future of human space exploration.

Across a set of linked, interactive stations integrated into a set of themed environments, visitors discover the range of skills needed for lunar exploration. Groups complete engineering, design, and social challenges to define their own spacefaring future. Along the way, the story of each group’s settlement builds as they engineer water-collecting rovers, locate their lunar base, design mission patches, craft a community charter, and recruit a crew for the mission. At the end of the experience, visitors see a personalized conclusion, showing how their settlement might fare based on their results and scores.

Simply put, it’s one of the most impressive and insightful science center shows I’ve ever visited. Go see it.
